Resources for Residents in the Rock Creek Watershed
Connecting Rock Creek Neighbors with Information and Resources
Understanding who is responsible for development, drainage, roads, permits, maintenance and other issues affecting our neighborhoods isn’t always easy.
Our Resources page brings together information about the local, state and federal agencies — as well as homeowners associations and other organizations — that have responsibilities affecting homes, subdivisions and development in the Rock Creek Watershed.
Not Sure Who to Contact?
Flooding, drainage, roads, development, permits and other neighborhood concerns can involve different government agencies or private organizations depending on the location and circumstances.
The Quick Guide helps you identify the appropriate agency or organization to contact. Use the Decision Wizard to answer a few questions about your issue and find a good place to start.
Keep a Record of Who You Contact
When contacting a government agency, HOA or other organization about a neighborhood issue, keep a record of the conversation.
Note the agency or organization, the name of the person you spoke with, the date, your question and the information you received.
This makes it possible for neighbors, HOA representatives and government officials to follow up with the right person and understand what has already been discussed.
If an issue requires contacting several agencies, keeping this information becomes especially valuable.
